Booking Terms and Conditions
These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to all activities booked with Aruba Active Vacations. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms on behalf of yourself and all participants included in the booking.
1. Bookings and Payment
A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received and a booking confirmation has been issued by Aruba Active Vacations.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and checking that the activity, date, time, number of participants, and other booking details are correct.
All prices are displayed in the currency indicated during the booking process. Any applicable taxes, fees, or additional charges will be shown before payment is completed.
2. Customer Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund if you notify Aruba Active Vacations at least 24 hours before the scheduled starting time of your activity.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled starting time are non-refundable.
To cancel or change a booking, please contact Aruba Active Vacations using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation. A cancellation is only considered received after it has been acknowledged by Aruba Active Vacations.
Any approved refund will be returned to the original payment method. Processing times may depend on the bank or payment provider.
3. No-Shows and Late Arrivals
No-shows are not eligible for a refund, rescheduling, or voucher.
Participants should arrive at the meeting point at the time stated in the booking confirmation. Late arrival may shorten the activity or result in the activity being treated as a no-show if the session can no longer be provided.
Aruba Active Vacations cannot extend an activity or delay other bookings because of a participant’s late arrival.
4. Weather and Activity Conditions
Outdoor and watersports activities depend on weather, wind, sea, and other local conditions.
Aruba Active Vacations reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, shorten, or cancel an activity when conditions are considered unsuitable or unsafe. Decisions about safety and operating conditions are made solely by Aruba Active Vacations and its instructors.
If Aruba Active Vacations determines that an activity cannot safely take place because of unsuitable weather or operating conditions, customers will be offered:
- An alternative date or time, subject to availability; or
- A voucher for the value of the affected activity, subject to the conditions and validity period stated on the voucher.
Weather-related decisions made by Aruba Active Vacations do not automatically qualify for a cash refund.
Cloudy weather, light rain, changing wind, personal expectations regarding the weather, or a customer’s decision not to participate do not qualify as a weather cancellation unless Aruba Active Vacations officially cancels or reschedules the activity.
5. Changes by Aruba Active Vacations
Aruba Active Vacations may change the starting time, meeting point, instructor, route, equipment, or format of an activity when reasonably necessary for safety or operational reasons.
If Aruba Active Vacations must cancel an activity for a reason unrelated to weather and cannot provide a suitable alternative, the customer may choose between a voucher, rescheduling, or a refund for the affected activity.
Aruba Active Vacations is not responsible for additional expenses resulting from a changed or cancelled activity, including transportation, accommodation, meals, or other travel costs.
6. Participant Requirements
Participants must follow all safety instructions given by Aruba Active Vacations and its instructors.
Before participating, customers must inform Aruba Active Vacations of any medical condition, injury, disability, pregnancy, medication, swimming limitation, or other circumstance that could affect their ability to participate safely.
Participants must meet any age, weight, swimming ability, fitness, or experience requirements specified for the activity. Minors must have permission from a parent or legal guardian and may be required to participate under adult supervision.
Aruba Active Vacations may refuse or stop participation if a person:
- Does not meet the activity requirements;
- Appears intoxicated or under the influence of drugs;
- Behaves dangerously or disruptively;
- Refuses to follow safety instructions; or
- Creates a risk to themselves, other participants, staff, equipment, or property.
No refund will be provided when participation is refused or stopped for any of these reasons.
7. Assumption of Risk
Watersports and outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, changing weather and sea conditions, equipment-related incidents, and physical injury.
By participating, customers acknowledge these inherent risks and accept responsibility for acting carefully, following instructions, and participating within their abilities.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Participants may also be required to sign a separate waiver or participation agreement before starting an activity.
8. Equipment and Personal Property
Customers must use all equipment responsibly and follow the instructor’s directions. A customer may be held responsible for loss or damage caused by intentional misuse, negligence, or failure to follow instructions.
Aruba Active Vacations is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought to an activity. Customers are advised to leave valuables in a secure location.
9. Photos and Videos
Aruba Active Vacations may take photos or videos during activities for operational or promotional purposes. Customers who do not wish to appear in promotional content should notify the instructor or staff before the activity begins.
10. Force Majeure
Aruba Active Vacations is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, emergencies, power outages, strikes, or other unforeseen events.
When possible, Aruba Active Vacations will offer rescheduling or a voucher in such circumstances.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Aruba. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Aruba, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
